Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout & Lolita Tapping
April 29 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Stop in for not one Goose Island Specialty Beers but Two. Starting with their Bourbon County Stout: They really wanted to do something special for their 1000th batch at the original brewpub. Goose Island could have thrown a party. But they did something better. They brewed a beer. A really big batch of stout-so big the malt was coming out of the top of the mash ton after fermentation they brought in some bourbon barrels to age the stout. One hundred and fifty days later, Bourbon County Stout was born-A liquid as dark and dense as a black hole with a thick foam the color of bourbon barrels. The nose is a mix of charred oak, vanilla, Carmel and smoke. One sip has more flavor than your average case of beer.
Lolita is a pink rose colored Belgian style pale ale fermented with wild yeast and aged on raspberries in wine barrels. Aromas of fresh raspberries, bright jammy fruit flavors and crisp, refreshing body make Lolita ideal for beer drinkers fond of Belgian Framboise.
